Days of Operation

Mon-Sat

As a massage therapist, I get asked a lot of questions from my clients. One of the most common ones is definitely ‘do your hands hurt after giving a massage?’ Fortunately, the answer is no!

The courses that are required to become a massage therapist go over proper body mechanics to use during massages that help to prevent injuries to the therapist. Of course, there was still a bit of a learning curve when I was first starting. Achy thumbs and fingers weren’t terribly uncommon during the first couple months of training. Luckily, through many hours of practice, I’ve found methods that work for me that reduce the strain on my hands and fingers.

I do occasionally get some mild soreness in my upper back and neck area from doing massages, however that only ever really occurs if I do several hours of work in one day. This is also why I limit how many appointments and hours I work in a single day. It can be hard to give your full attention to a client if you are very stiff and achy.

So now you can rest easy and know that your therapist isn’t killing themselves to give you a great massage!
